There appears to be a lack of connection and trust amongst attorneys in toxic cultured firms, which leads to lower retention rates and money lost. Firm culture is also shaped from the cooperation or lack thereof amongst partners. Relationships matter in the workplace because they form the basis for a company culture, ultimately impacting the firm’s level of success in the long run.
On the contrary, the 12.1% of law firms with reports of positive cultures implement regular sharing of information and communication among all employees. An emphasis on positive relationships is key to building a healthy company culture as well as better client relationships. Successful firms instill a culture where everyone feels heard and valued, thus leading to higher retention rates.
