The recent ALM survey of Midlevel Associates was revealing. These are the attorneys that make the money for Big Law – and the senior partners. One of my favorite quotes was “pay more, work less.” Hmmm, I wonder what the clients would say.
While I enjoyed reading their unvarnished comments, it reminded me that the retention of talented associates is critical to a firm’s success.
Law firms that engage and develop their associates should be a strategic imperative for long-term success. Acquiring talent is step #1 in retaining and developing talent in an intentional fashion.
